Brixlegg, October 2024_ The SPIEGLTEC Group is taking the next significant step in its development this year: With the establishment of the SPT proXima business unit as an independent limited liability company, the company is once again emphasizing its core competencies—having a “big picture” view and thinking in terms of solutions. For SPIEGLTEC, setting up a separate unit dedicated to the construction of complete, customized process units and increasing the degree of process automation is the next logical step in meeting the growing demand for greater modularity in plant engineering.

Founded in 1998 as a specialist planning office, SPIEGLTEC is now an integral part of the industry as a general planner for industrial plants in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology sectors. The group has continuously evolved in line with market requirements and now offers a full range of services from EPCMV contracts (engineering, procurement, construction management, validation). The launch of SPT proXima is now the next logical step in meeting customer demands for greater modularity and automation in plant construction. The development of SPT proXima fits seamlessly into the company’s history and marks an important milestone. SPIEGLTEC expanded its portfolio back in 2022 and, in addition to all engineering services, now also offers prefabricated process units, known as “skids” or “package units,” for the individual and modular conversion and expansion of process plants. “The name ‘proXima’ stands for our customer proximity – both geographically and strategically. It underscores our brand promise: enabling progress by finding solutions that meet not only today’s requirements, but also those of the future,” says SPIEGLTEC Managing Director Christian Peintner.

SPT proXima: Where innovation happens
With the implementation of SPT proXima, the SPIEGLTEC Group is creating an area that acts as an innovation driver within the company along its customers’ value chain. The skids and process units that have already been successfully built and implemented are further developed here, as is the automation of entire processes or process steps. proXima’s mission is to enable its customers to progress by already working on answers to the technological, economic, and ecological challenges of the future. At the helm of the proXima team are Thomas Hechenblaickner, Stefan Gföller, and Marco Martycz.
