Brixlegg, February 2025_ Tyrolean engineering company SPIEGLTEC is continuing its expansion and strengthening its presence in Germany with a new headquarters in Bonn. The company is thus bringing its proven “everything from a single source” philosophy to the German market and moving closer to its customers. The close cross-border cooperation between Austrian and German experts creates a strong field of expertise that offers tailor-made solutions for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The new location marks an important milestone in SPIEGLTEC’s international growth strategy, which has already been driven forward with locations in Berlin, Köthen, and Leipzig.
For 27 years, SPIEGLTEC has been synonymous with outstanding engineering services in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The owner-managed company from Brixlegg has established itself as a leading provider thanks to its comprehensive competence and interdisciplinary expertise. SPIEGLTEC is now continuing its growth trajectory: with the opening of another location in Germany, the successful Austrian engineering concept is being specifically transferred to this market. The close integration of the existing expertise of the Austrian team with local knowledge on site creates a powerful network that enables customer-specific solutions at the highest level.
“With our new branch in Bonn, we are creating the ideal basis for being even closer to our customers and implementing projects with the highest precision and efficiency,” explains Christian Peintner, Managing Director of SPIEGLTEC GmbH. “Our goal is to establish the proven quality and innovative strength that SPIEGLTEC stands for here in the long term, thereby meeting the demanding needs of the German market.” A key component of this expansion strategy is Martin Haase, who, with his many years of experience and deep understanding of the industry, has been driving SPIEGLTEC’s development in Germany since last year. “With him, we have a strong leader on board who not only brings technical expertise and a deep understanding of customers and the market, but also inspires the interdisciplinary teams to remain efficient and motivated throughout the entire project and beyond,” Peintner continues.
Closer to customers, strong in solutions
Since its inception, SPIEGLTEC has evolved from a specialized planning office to a holistic provider of all services covered by EPCMV contracts (engineering, procurement, construction management, validation) for industrial customers in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and life science sectors. True to the company credo “We enable progress,” SPIEGLTEC continues to grow with the demands of the markets it serves and, since last year, has also been offering the delivery and installation of prefabricated plant components, known as skids and package units. Despite their partial standardization, these can be customized to a high degree and can be integrated into existing plants at short notice.

From Tyrol to the world: further growth plans and challenges
SPIEGLTEC is continuing its expansion course and pursuing a long-term growth strategy beyond Austria’s borders. A key objective is the targeted expansion of the project business, both with existing and new partners. SPIEGLTEC remains true to its corporate culture and focuses on organic growth with a clear structural orientation. “We deliberately chose Bonn as our location in order to better serve our customers in the Chempark and many other medium-sized companies in the Rhineland and Ruhr area. This location will further advance our planned expansion within Germany and also provide us with another office for all our new employees on site,” explains Martin Haase, Managing Director of SPIEGLTEC Germany.
“Close cooperation within the international group of companies plays a decisive role in this,” says Peintner. “We have been involved in the Bavarian engineering firm KONTECH since 2023, and the Berlin-based company UNISON has been part of the SPIEGLTEC Group since June last year. Following the opening of the new location in Bonn, the focus is now on other strategic locations such as Ludwigshafen, Mannheim, and Frankfurt am Main.” SPIEGLTEC is currently intensively examining all possibilities for establishing a presence at these key locations in order to expand its range of services.
